Swallow Hosting Virtual Grand Opening via Facebook Live August 26

The Swallow School District will host a virtual Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday, August 26 at 5pm via the District's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/SwallowSchool).  Due to COVID-19, this event will be live-streamed for the first portion, then viewers will be taken on a virtual tour of the spaces renovated as a result of the 2018 referendum approved by District taxpayers.

Superintendent Melissa Thompson described the event by saying, "While we wish we could do this event fully in-person all at once, we know that there would be too many people attending to maintain physical distancing.  Instead, with the assistance of our architect Nick Kent of PRA and the construction management team from CG Schmidt, we are able to create a virtual event that everyone can enjoy either in real-time or as their schedule permits in the coming days.  Swallow families will have the chance during Strong Start conferences to follow a map of the building and using QR codes, see the construction process and results first-hand.  We will do our best to offer a similar in-person event for District residents as soon as possible this fall."
