Superintendent
It is a distinct pleasure to be the Superintendent of the fabulous Swallow School District. I value the district, students, families, and community that has built and maintained a top notch school and education.

I began in education career over 30 years ago. My education journey has taken a path from teaching to multiple administrative roles in Wisconsin school districts.

I began teaching in Milwaukee Public Schools and then moved to teach in Waukesha. I taught art for elementary and high school students. I believe that every child has potential and deserves a high quality and supportive learning experience.

Over my administrative career, I have been a Department Chair, a High School Associate Principal, a Principal, an Assistant Director Curriculum, a Director of Performance and Effectiveness, Director of K-8 Education, and a Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

My husband and I have one adult son who graduated from UW Lacrosse. In our free time, we enjoy our family and traveling. We are also working on renovating a 112 year old farmhouse and barn in Northern Wisconsin.

Director of Business Services

It is with great honor that I join the Swallow School District as the Director of Business Services. I hold in high regard the district, students, families, and community whose collective efforts have established and upheld an exceptional school and education system.

Over the past 11 years, I have refined my leadership skills in various roles within the West Bend School District. My journey began as a middle school English teacher, and I subsequently transitioned into the role of Dean of Students at the same school. My career path then led me to East High School, where I served as an assistant principal for the past 4 years.

I am proud to have earned my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education from La Crosse in 2012, followed by a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch in 2019. Currently, I am furthering my education at Concordia University, where I am working towards obtaining my School Business Administrator licensure.

Outside of my professional life, I share a fulfilling family life with my wife and two young children, whose energy keeps us feeling young. I indulge in my hobbies, such as disc golfing and my passion for automobiles.

Overall, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my expertise and dedication to the growth and success of the Swallow School District. I look forward to making a positive impact on the lives of students, staff, and the entire community.

Assistant Principal & Curriculum Coordinator
I am delighted to serve the Swallow School community as the Assistant Principal/Curriculum Coordinator. I began my career as a middle school social studies/literacy teacher in 2012, teaching at Horning Middle School in Waukesha. Then, moving to Sheboygan Falls, I continued to teach both literacy and social studies, as well as taking on leadership positions in data analysis, mentoring of new staff, curriculum development, and instructional coaching.

During my educational career, I have presented on inclusive instruction, worked with the DPI in the review of Forward Testing exams in the areas of literacy and social studies, consulted on the development of online educational modules for ETS, reviewed textbooks for the state, and worked with historical societies in connecting local history to the classroom. I have also been heavily involved in the high school debate/forensics community as a coach for the past 15 years, guiding numerous students to national tournaments.

My Bachelor’s degree is in Secondary Education English/History from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I later received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Carroll University in Waukesha. As a husband to a hard-working wife and father of four young children, I have developed an appreciation of PBS programming and Junie B. Jones. When not helping my children down slides at parks or discouraging them from touching museum exhibits, I spend my time failing miserably at racquetball, reading detective fiction, or taming the wilds of my backyard.
