I have had the privilege of teaching the terrific students at Swallow School since 1999. After earning a Master's Degree in Professional Development from Cardinal Stritch University, I have continued my education on a daily basis at Swallow School by creating, nurturing, and maintaining an environment where children can grow, learn, and thrive. Every year I look forward to helping students reach their potential while becoming responsible, kind citizens of our wonderful learning community. |

Welcome to first grade! My name is JoEllen Schuh, and I am so happy to be part of the first grade team at Swallow. I have had the privilege of teaching at Swallow for the past 24 years, and I have been teaching for a total of 28 years. This will be my 14th year of teaching first grade. I received both my undergraduate and Master's degrees from UW-Whitewater. Throughout my career, I have taught elementary Spanish, third grade, and first grade.
I look forward to nurturing your child and helping him or her to thrive in my classroom. I strive to create a fun and supportive environment in my classroom where children feel safe and are excited to learn and try new things.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, walking, and baking. My husband and I live in Oconomowoc and have two sons who both attend UW-Platteville.
I am excited for another wonderful year of learning! |
