Cooking Club

Cooking Club

The Swallow School District continues to offer various activities during the school year for our students.

Cooking Club will provide students with a chance to learn food safety and kitchen sanitation skills, how to properly cut vegetables and meat, how to make cookies, and proper place setting and usage of flatware/glasses for a special occasion and much more! Each session students will learn about the cooking to be completed that day, complete the cooking, and then enjoy the items prepared. All participants will use, then receive at the end of the class, basic cooking tools. Due to the nature of this activity, please indicate any food allergies during registration. The participation fee is $25.

Two grade-band sessions are being offered:

1-4th graders will meet from 3:15-5 pm on Tuesdays 1/10, 1/17 and 1/24.

5-8th graders will meet from 3:15-5 pm on Thursdays 1/12, 1/19, and 1/26.

Interest responses, available in the Thursday Folder, are due by next Wednesday, December 14 at 4pm. A minimum of 7 children are needed to run the club, with a cap of 16 per grade band.

Questions can be directed to Mr. Sargent ([email protected]) and Ms. Walle ([email protected]).
