Special Education Teacher

Hi! My name is Lauren Bauman, and I am a Special Education Teacher here at Swallow School where I work with students in 4K-8th grade. I joined the staff in 2017 after teaching at The Richardson School for 3 years. The Richardson School is an alternative school for students with special needs that specializes in supporting children, adolescents and young adults who have diagnoses of developmental/neurological disabilities, and behavioral and emotional concerns.

Prior to teaching at the Richardson School, I received my bachelor's degree in Special Education at William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri and a certificate in cross categorical special education servicing students with mild-moderate disabilities. After graduating college, I was hired as a Special Education teacher at the Fulton School District and taught in the intensive needs classroom. I have always had a passion for teaching and working with students with disabilities. I have my masters degree in Special Education with an additional certification specializing in autism spectrum disorders through UW-Whitewater.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My husband and I love to travel and often visit our family in Montana. I enjoy playing tennis, painting and riding my horse.

Occupational Therapist

Hello! My name is Carla Frantl, and I am proud to say that this is my 12th year as an Occupational Therapist at Swallow School. I am very excited to be part of the Swallow family and look forward to working with your children!

I graduated from UW - Milwaukee in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. I chose Occupational Therapy within the school system because I wanted to be a part of enhancing a child’s ability to be successful in their learning environment. This includes working on fine motor skills which are essential for success with daily activities such as drawing, cutting, printing, and keyboarding. There is nothing better than seeing the smile on a child’s face when they have successfully achieved their OT goals.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, going for walks, watching football games, and spending time with my family and friends. My husband Steve, and I have 2 adult children. Alexis (22) is a senior at UW - Whitewater, and Jake (20) is a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh pursuing a degree in business/marketing and playing football.

When not teaching, Holly enjoys spending time with her family, baking, playing golf, snowboarding and staying involved with the family’s Dance Studio in Menomonee Falls where she has taught dance classes for students ranging in age from three to eighteen, and currently provides administrative support.  Holly dreams one day of bringing an adaptive dance program to the Studio so that all students can share in the joy of dance.

Speech/Language Pathologist

Hi! My name is Sarah Sarchet. I am the speech therapist at Swallow School and work with students beginning at age three all the way up to 8th grade. I am in my 17th year at Swallow. I actually attended Swallow School from kindergarten through 8th grade. It is amazing how it has grown and changed, but also wonderful how the passion for learning and commitment by the staff, families, and students has stayed the same.

I attended Arrowhead High School and then went on to Liberty University in Virginia and got my Bachelors in Psychology. I came back to Wisconsin and went to graduate school at Marquette University. I received my Masters of Science in Speech and Language Pathology. In addition, I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.

I am married to a wonderful man, Jason, and have four precious children, Caden, Kylie, Cruz, and Kinley. We live in Hartland and all of my children also attend Swallow. We love spending time as a family. Besides being a speech therapist, mother, and wife, I also enjoy spending my time cooking, reading, and playing all kinds of sports.

Special Education Teacher

My name is Jeannette Snedden, and I am excited to begin my first year as a special education teacher at Swallow School. I started my career as a kindergarten teacher in Georgia before being relocated to Wisconsin for my husband’s work. After moving to Wisconsin, I worked as a reading interventionist for the Merton School District, helping students to become proficient readers. Three years ago, I moved into a special education teacher role, allowing me to expand my knowledge and experience with diverse learners. I enjoy working with children and helping students realize their potential. I am especially interested in reading because I want to develop a strong foundation for each student while assisting them in setting a path for future success. I have my Masters of Arts in Teaching specializing in Early Childhood Education through Walden University and a Reading Teacher License through Viterbo University. I am certified in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Cross-Categorical Special Education, and Reading.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Shawn, and our three children: Tyler (22), Avery (19), and Sydney (17). Also, I enjoy visiting with friends, baking delicious sweets, and walking outdoors.
