Schmidt Construction (CGS) who have been working with the district since November and assisting the FAC in identifying and confirming school district needs as part of the current Long Range Master Planning process.

From the beginning, FAC members have been learning about school finance, they have viewed and studied the current capital improvement project list, and have a strong understanding of current curriculum and programming along with the future of education. Dr. Thompson, Swallow Superintendent stated, “Last night’s work session was pivotal in marrying the district’s known capital improvement and maintenance needs with community priorities to ensure the building is future ready.”

Pieces from work that the district had considered in the past were melded with new ideas from FAC members in response to feedback from the community. All of the options that were derived from last night’s meeting will be drawn up, costed, and presented back to the FAC at its next meeting on Thursday, March 8 at 6:30pm in the library at Swallow School. Members of the community are encouraged to visit the School Board Agendas/Minutes section of the website for more detailed meeting information at www.swallowschool.org.
