The Swallow School District is once again embarking upon its Community Conversations Series in January 2018. The dates and times for the nine opportunities to participate are listed below and all dates and times are available for all residents and school families to participate in, regardless of neighborhood affiliation.

During this year’s Community Conversations series the school board and administration will begin each with a short presentation about the school district then solicit feedback around expectations and recommendations for curriculum, programming, and services and what participants would support the district doing to meet these expectations and recommendations.

Community Conversations began in the 2013-14 school year when the school board and administration committed to holding a series of gatherings every other year to engage all district residents, school families, students and staff to provide important feedback to shape the vision for the school districts future.

Feedback from prior Community Conversations has led to the creation of the Discovery Lab, addition of engineering, activities, and athletics programming, allowed the construction of new outdoor play spaces, supported the purchase of flexible furnishings to increase hands on learning in classrooms, and many other augmentations to the school and its offerings.
