Jazz band is an exciting opportunity for your child to enrich their lives as a musician. Our jazz band is a consortium group that is built on exploring creativity, expression, and a love for making music with others. This also provides the opportunity for students who play piano, bass, and guitar in a large ensemble setting.

The Jazz Band will meet in the Richmond School Band room from 3:30-4:30 on Thursdays. Jazz is open to all band members in 6th-8th grade and all instruments are welcome.  Students learn the building blocks of jazz and have fun playing with other students who are interested in music.  This year the jazz season will run from November to March.  We will perform at the Arrowhead Area Solo and Ensemble Festival and at the Spring Consortium Concert in March.  We hope to have many students take advantage of this great opportunity.
