Student Council

Student Council is an organization conducted by students and supervised by adults. The purpose of the Student Council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects.

Annual events/activities include: Family Halloween Dance, Breakfast with Santa, Blood Drive, Coffee for a Cause, Candy Hearts Sale, and a Middle School dodge ball tournament, organizing and running school-wide assemblies, and reading the morning announcements, among others.

The function of the Student Council is based upon parliamentary procedures. Ideas are presented and voted upon by the members. Any middle school student that is interested in leadership, event planning or becoming more involved in the school are welcome to become involved.  Looking for more information?  Contact Mrs. Gretchen Nelson at nelsong@swallowschool.org.
