Coordinator of Instruction and Activities

Andrew Joseph is serving his first year as the Coordinator of Instruction and Activities after serving as a music teacher since 2010 at Swallow School. Mr. Joseph is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he had the opportunity to perform in numerous venues across the United States as a member of several OSU ensembles. His principle instrument is the trombone.

Mr. Joseph's philosophy of music education centers around educating the whole child, not just the student performer. His research interests include cross-curricular learning, arts integration, reading and writing in the content area, and music performance for special education students. He is adviser to Swallow's African Drum Club and Chess and Game Club, and is an assistant basketball coach.

Mr. Joseph holds memberships in both the National Association for Music Education and the Wisconsin Music Educators Association. He lives in Wauwatosa and enjoys exploring the Midwest, cooking and experiencing music from around the world. He also serves on the board of the Ohio State Alumni Club of Wisconsin. You may contact him via email or by phone.
