Professional Experience
Mrs. Calbaum has taught choir/general music at Swallow School for 5 years. She was previously a K-6 general music/choir teacher in the Elmbrook School District for 9 years and a 1-12 general music/choir teacher in the Cedar Grove-Belgium district for 3 years. Besides teaching public school, Mrs. Calbaum has been a graduate level music education class instructor, church choir director/accompanist, MSO docent instructor, Wisconsin Music Educators Association Listening Project chairperson and a presenter at various music conventions.
Education
Mrs. Calbaum has a Bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master’s Degree in music education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has also accumulated over 25 graduate credits beyond her Master’s Degree in advanced education and music classes.
Personal Life
Mrs. Calbaum enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, singing, playing the piano, attending the theater, and gardening.
Mrs. Calbaum’s passion is not only teaching children music but also building a love and understanding of music.
